My name is Jota and I am the founder of Riverside.
A few years ago, we noticed a change in travelers’ preferences. Visitors were attracted to the multitude of beautiful locations in Colombia, and once they discovered Jerico, they were captivated. Naturally, many wished to stay longer. However, there were few places equipped to accommodate digital nomads, who need to maintain productivity while also experiencing Jerico’s culture and beauty. This observation led us to create Riverside – a dream come true!
We believe that the transformative digital nomad experience goes beyond simply working and traveling to different destinations. It’s about adopting a deeper, more nourishing lifestyle while appreciating the beauty of our surroundings. Driven by my passion for eco-conscious living, wellness, community building, and entrepreneurship, I founded Riverside. It’s designed to provide an uninterrupted, productive, and creative remote working experience for digital nomads. But more importantly, it seeks to enrich and nourish their body, mind, and soul during their stay, contributing to a comprehensive and uplifting experience right here in the paradise of Jerico.
As a native of Jerico and an entrepreneur, I’m deeply passionate about supporting my hometown. My goal was to create a space that meets the needs of digital nomads and travelers. Moreover, I sought to boost the local economy by buying and hiring locally, while also encouraging our visitors to contribute to the community. During your stay, you’ll experience the warm hospitality of our local staff and enjoy home-cooked meals made with local ingredients.
We encourage and our visitors contribute to the sustainable development of our local communities during their stay. Our goal is to foster a community where everyone can learn from the knowledge and experiences of others, acquiring new life skills in the process.
This is how Riverside was born – created by travellers for travellers. Thanks to the contributions of many, we’ve transformed this place into paradise. It’s a beautiful location nestled in nature, equipped with everything you need. Here, we don’t live to work; instead, we work to live.

We aim to work with various local communities to create sustainable projects that are environmentally and culturally enriching. We hope that by attracting new tourists, we can contribute to boosting our local economies and elevate the quality of life for the locals.

INSPIRATION
At Riverside, we deeply value the history and traditions of the Colombian countryside. The connection to the land and the knowledge of coffee and general farmers greatly inspire our work. The countryside links us to our folklore, and what better way to honor this than through an idea enriched by multiculturalism.

Many of our visitors become volunteers, generously contributing their time, effort, and talents to our community. We deeply appreciate their contributions and promise to work diligently to make Riverside a welcoming place for our volunteers. We welcome volunteers from all walks of life, each bringing their unique talents, including yoga teachers, designers, cooks, gardeners, artists, developers, leaders, communicators, and more. Each volunteer plays a vital role in shaping the future of Riverside and the wider Jerico community.
